Just a year and a half later, another winning ticket appeared in the Granite State. Sold at Reed’s Ferry Market in Merrimack for the January 6, 2018 drawing, it won $559.7 million.

It was the largest prize awarded in New Hampshire Lottery history and remains the state’s biggest lottery jackpot.

Mega Millions enters the New Hampshire scoreboard

Mega Millions needed more time to enter the state’s record books. New Hampshire joined the game in 2010, but its first jackpot did not arrive until July 23, 2019.

A ticket purchased at Brookside Market & Deli in Exeter matched all six numbers and won $168 million. The winner later chose the one-time cash payment of $108.5 million.

That Exeter ticket remains the only Mega Millions jackpot-winning ticket sold in New Hampshire.

Does the historical score affect the next drawing?

Powerball’s lead makes for an interesting story, but it does not predict what will happen next.
