Colorado Lotto+ is a lottery game played in the state of Colorado, USA. To play, players need to select six numbers from a pool of 1 to 40. Players can either select their own numbers or use the Quick Pick option to have the numbers chosen for them randomly.

The Colorado Lottery was established in 1983, and the first game launched was Lotto America. However, in 1992, the game was replaced by Powerball due to its popularity.

In 1992, the Colorado Lottery also launched a new game called Lotto, which was later renamed as Colorado Lotto in 1999. The game had a 6/42 matrix, meaning players had to select six numbers out of 42. The jackpot prize started at $1 million and rolled over until there was a winner.

In 2017, the game underwent a major change and was rebranded as Colorado Lotto+. The matrix was changed to 6/40, and a new feature called «Plus» was introduced. The Plus option allowed players to multiply their non-jackpot winnings by up to 5X for an additional $1 per play. This feature proved to be very popular among players and significantly increased the overall prize amounts.

Today, Colorado Lotto+ remains one of the most popular lottery games in Colorado, offering players the chance to win big while also supporting various causes in the state such as Colorado trails, parks, and recreation.

The «Plus» feature is an optional add-on that increases the overall prize value for non-jackpot wins. If a player wins a non-jackpot prize and has opted for the «Plus» feature, their prize will be multiplied by a randomly drawn multiplier of 2X, 3X, 4X, or 5X.

The Colorado Lotto+ is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and the drawings take place at 7:35 PM Mountain Standard Time.

Players can purchase tickets up until 7:30 PM MST on the day of the drawing. Tickets can be bought at any authorized Colorado Lottery retailer, and players can choose their own numbers or use the Quick Pick option to have the numbers chosen for them randomly.

In addition to the regular drawing, the Colorado Lotto+ also holds special promotions throughout the year, such as second-chance drawings and bonus giveaways.

A single ticket costs $2 and players have the option to add a «Plus» feature to their ticket for an additional $1.

The Colorado Lotto+ uses a traditional lottery ball machine to randomly select winning numbers. The machine contains 42 balls numbered 1 to 42. During each drawing, six balls are selected at random, along with one bonus ball. The bonus ball is used to determine certain secondary prize categories.

The Colorado Lottery conducts the drawing under strict security protocols to ensure fairness and accuracy. The drawing is witnessed by an independent auditor, and the results are verified and posted on the Colorado Lottery website.

The jackpot for Colorado Lotto+ starts at $1 million and grows by a minimum of $250,000 with each draw until there is a winner. To win the jackpot, players must match all six numbers drawn in any order. If there is more than one winner, the prize will be split equally among them.

In addition to the jackpot, there are four other prize tiers in Colorado Lotto+. The second prize tier is awarded to players who match five of the six numbers drawn plus the «Plus» number. The third prize tier is for players who match five of the six numbers drawn without the «Plus» feature. The fourth and fifth prize tiers are for players who match four and three of the six numbers drawn, respectively.
