Pick 3 is one of the most entertaining games to play. In order to play, you only need three numbers from 0 to 9 and to choose one of the four modalities: exact, any, exact/any or combo.
Besides, this is the only game in Colorado Lottery where you can decide the quantity you want to bet, from $0.50 to $5 per play. According to these choices, your maximum prize can vary.
In order to increase your chances, and depending on the state you are in, you can select the Fireball option, independent of the option you are playing. In each draw, a Fireball from 0 to 9 is drawn. You can use this number to replace one in the winning combination, in order to create different combinations. If your numbers match with one of the Fireball combinations, you will win a prize from this category!
Ways to play
- Exact: you must match the winning combination in the exact same order.
- Any: in order to win, match the winning numbers, independent of the order.
- Exact/Any: this option allows you to combine the previous two. You win both if you match the numbers in order and if you don’t.
- Combo: with this option, you can get the prize from the Exact category just by matching the winning numbers, no matter the order. This option is not available in every state.
Pick 3 dates
You can try your luck with Pick 3 four times a day, 24 times a week. This draw is held from Monday to Saturday. The order of the draws is: 10:00 a.m., 12:27 p.m. , 6:00 p.m. and 10:12 p.m. Central Time.

Procedures
In each draw, there are four drums involved. The first three each contain a series of numbers from 0 to 9, which creates the winning combination of the draw. The fourth one contains one series from 0 to 9, that will determine the Fireball number.

Pick 3 fun fact
The first Pick 3 draw ever was held on October 25, 1993 with the winning combination 3-2-9. At that time, there was only one draw, the night one (10:12 p.m.) and there was no Fireball number.
April 29, 2002’s draw was the first one to include a second daily draw, the day draw (at 12:27 p.m.), and the winning numbers were 3-1-0.
Before Fireball was included, you could play with Sum It Up!, added for the first time on November 12, 2007.
The last modification in Pick 3 took place on April 29, 2019, when Sum It Up! was replaced by Fireball. Since then, the draw has suffered no changes.
